Grażyna Wolski is a Polish-Canadian artist who lives in North Vancouver, BC. She is on a lifelong journey of spiritual growth. She seeks improvement, balance, and harmony in both her life and her work.

Grażyna feels a deep emotional connection with flowers and animals. They are an infinite source of inspiration, serving as metaphor for how she feels about life and people. She paints to tell stories, evoke memories, bring joy, and to engage the viewer’s senses.

Her interest in art began at an early age with sketching and painting. She began her serious art career primarily in acrylics but soon moved to oils. Her technique is intuitive and spontaneous. The key elements of her style are vibrant colours and the use of light. Each painting starts with basic rules and techniques, and so begins her journey.

When Grażyna paints, the process of transferring her feelings onto the canvas with colour fills her with joy and tranquility. She says, “Art is very spiritual in nature. It gives voice to my soul. It is healing and therapeutic. The creative process, inspired by the endless beauty of nature—both its flawlessness and imperfection—parallels my own personal journey.”

As a young woman she focused on a career in theatre production and design, while working as an Early Education Teacher. After immigrating to Canada in 1988, Grażyna further developed her artistic self by taking up pottery; pursuing a career in special effects and make-up artistry; and exploring her love of painting through workshops and online studies.

Grażyna became an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists in 2010 and was granted signature status ( AFCA) in March 2014.
